“If you take photographs, don’t speak, don’t write, don’t analyse yourself, and don’t answer any questions.” Robert Doisneau
Every eye is different, even in the same place. That's the beauty of photography.....Jose Figueroa
I don’t do workshops, I don’t like interviews. I don’t like repeating myself and I don’t like to preach. My time is limited and I try to use it as best I can. The most important thing is to keep doing what you love, and I love photography”
....Josef Koudelka

I've been making pictures for over 50 years; with all sorts of cameras: an old manual focus Mamiya Secor camera, point-and-shoots, and various Pentax cameras. In 2000, lusting after a digital camera, I bought a Sony DSC-S70 and a used Canon Pro70. Nice and fun, but no joy. No feeling of accomplishment. I bought the Canon Digital Rebel in the middle of February 2004, with an upgrade to a 20D in September 2004. I've added a Canon 40D, 30D, a Canon 5D, 6D, 7D, and 7Dmk2 and a Pentax K10D to my lineup of cameras, and a whole lot of lenses.

In summer 2007, after giving away all my film gear I started scanning my old film negatives.
The look of film compared to digital was stunning and for a while I back to the "feel" of film

with digital for the times I want a quicker turn around in processing or for fast moving
subjects, etc. Thanks to fabulous negative scanning technology, I can enjoy both.

Digital photography will turn out better photographers than film ever did;
it's an immediate feedback information loop. No waiting for darkroom processing to fix
technique. Young photographers who have never used an analog camera are buying and using them
and developing their own film. Digital users are trying to make their photos look like film.
One feeds the other. And so it goes....
